HIS STORY

A lifetime of change

I've been a student-athlete my whole life, teaching and learning for most all of it while juggling the commitment to being a practicing athlete.

In the midst of it all, I've been challenged by the nature of change that inevitably occurs in a lifetime. What I did in my twenties as an athlete, coach and educator I do differently today. And why wouldn't I? It's a much different world we live in when compared to the ones I experienced 15, 30, 50 years ago. I've certainly changed. And that should be expected.

For the past fifty years, I've studied and experienced the mind-body connection. Along the way, I've also listened with intention and attentively to others.

FAMILY AND FITNESS

Fit for most of 76 years

Just as importantly, I've been committed to fitness on a personal level for most all of my 76 years. I've been truly blessed to have coached countless athletes at virtually every age and talent level.

I've co-parented three children who have been successful student-athletes while learning the value of lifelong fitness. Through it all, I've been blessed to be married to my one-of-a-kind wife. After these many years, I remain a lifelong learner open to new possibilities.

I took on the challenge to show that we can keep getting stronger and better conditioned as we grow older, even in our later years. I wanted to see what remains possible for me.
